New Gage Instrument Provides Versatile, Precision Performance In a Compact Package

VGAGE introduces the new, universally compatible VE-805 compact Gage Computer, a versatile PC based tool that delivers high levels of precision, flexibility, and cost sensitive process control. The VE-805 microprocessor unit provides capabilities for gage monitoring and display, raw data collection and storage, measurement analysis, statistical control computations and charting, plus outputting data to external information sharing devices. The new computer works with a variety of measurement mechanisms including most digital probes, air gages, and inspection equipment with capacity to convert results to an electrical signal, and with the capacity for operation with 1 or up to 31 multiple input devices. The VE-805 also has WI-FI and wireless capability using Bluetooth ® wireless technology that works in conjunction with VGAGE’s our line of wireless bore gages.

The VE-805 displays gage measurements in real time with a high-resolution color LCD screen, featuring a graphic digital picture, a bitmap illustration or CAD-file representation of the current part being inspected. The displayed data can be presented as both a graphic image and tabled columns with digital values, plus the unit provides a comprehensive selection of SPC charting display options using real time values. The compact computer, with a VIA ® microprocessor and measuring 6 X 9 X 2 inches, employs Windows ® XP Tablet as its basic operating system plus incorporates VGAGE Pro 7 Software suite for its sophisticated measurement and statistics performance. VGAGE Pro 7 software can also be upgraded with QDAS statistical packages.

The new VE-805 Gage Computer from VGAGE works with a diverse range of measuring input devices and provides precision real time gage monitoring, data collection and display, archiving and SPC display options in a tough, versatile and powerful compact package.

Display setting preference include resolutions to .0000001 inches (0.00001 mm) for use with ultra-precise inspection tools, and the unit provides various security stages for restricting levels of access to certain control functions by operators, supervisors, and management.

In addition to the VIA ® microprocessor, the VE-805 features as part of its hardware package a TFT active matrix color display with touch screen interface. For data storage and information archiving, the unit includes a high speed 40+ GIG hard drive, 2 USB ports and Ethernet capability for connectivity to auxiliary output devices. These can include remote monitoring stations, printers, network drives, and machine cell and system monitoring controllers. The VE-805 also has the option of an external battery source using a Lithium Ion battery.
