Alan Roberts, PhD, Emeritus Professor, Centre for Bulk Solids and Particulate Technologies, The University of Newcastle

Alan Roberts is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Newcastle Australia.  He has a PhD plus two honorary doctorates and is the recipient of a number of prestigious awards for his work in Bulk Solids Handling.  He has been involved in research and consulting in the field of bulk solids handling for a period of over 45 years.  He established the TUNRA Bulk Solids Handling Research and consulting group of the University of Newcastle in 1975.  In the 33 years of its existence, this group has completed some 2500 projects for approximately 1000 companies in Australia as well as in 40 other countries world wide.   The group is now averaging around 160 industrial projects per year.
