About the Instructors:
Don McGlinchey, Lecturer, Centre for Industrial Bulk Solids Handling, Glasgow Caledonian University Don McGlinchey, PhD, is a lecturer with the Centre for Industrial Bulk Solids Handling in the school of Engineering, Science and Design at Glasgow Caledonian University where he is active in consultancy, research and lecturing in many areas of bulk solids handling, for example characterization, pneumatic conveying and vibration. He has been involved in solids handling for 12 years and has authored many technical papers and presented at numerous international meetings. He undertakes consulting and contract research for industrial companies on a worldwide basis. Elizabeth Knight, Senior Lecturer, School of Engineering, Glasgow Caledonian University MRS E A Knight is a Senior Lecturer within the School of Engineering and Computing at Glasgow Caledonian University. She has over eighteen years experience in the areas of measurement, instrumentation and data acquisition. Since joining the University she has focused her work in the areas of teaching, research and consultancy in instrumentation and computer controlled measurement with particular emphasis on measurement for bulk solids handling and processing applications. She has contributed to over 30 published papers, articles and conference contributions and has a particular interest in instrumentation systems for on-line troubleshooting of pneumatic conveying systems. |
