Wolfgang Pietsch, Sr. Consultant, Compactconsult, Inc.

Dr. Pietsch  specializes in Powder & Bulk Solids Technologies. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical and Chemical Engineering and, in 1965, earned his Ph.D. in agglomeration, all at the University (TH) of Karlsruhe, Germany.During his career he was involved in the Mechanical Process Technologies as a researcher, teacher, process developer, designer, vendor, and user. His particular experience is in the field of Size Enlargement by Agglomeration. Today, Dr. Pietsch is working as an independent, unaffiliated consultant.
He is the author of more than 170 papers, 5 books, including the textbooks "Size Enlargement by Agglomeration" (1991), “Agglomeration Processes – Phenomena, Technologies, Equipment” (2001), and “Agglomeration in Industry – Occurrence and Applications” (2004), and holds 9 patents.
