Alba Enterprises/Babyplast
Booth 4069, 4071
The Babyplast table top injection moulding machine is the smallest, fully hydraulic, injection moulding machine. Thanks to the unique concept of the machine platens which act as mould bolsters, the cost and dimensions of the moulds are reduced considerably. Babyplast 6/10 needs less than 1/2yd of floor space. Babyplast is perfect for production of small precision parts, long and short production runs, laboratory tests, prototyping, medical products, and technical training. Available horizontal or vertical. Also available is the autonomous injection unit offering an economical and practical solution for transforming an existing single component machine into a multi-component machine.
Conair
Booth 3939
A new, servo-driven puller/cutter from Conair is perfect for small-diameter medical tubing, including heart and brain catheters. The ‘MedLine’ puller/cutter has been designed for the highest level of precision possible, along with rugged reliability and user-friendly operation. Control features simplify the production of such tubing features as tapers and bubbles. The heart of the machine, and the key to its precision operation is the puller. With independent position-controlled servo drives on the upper and lower belts, along with in-line planetary gear reducers, Conair has been able to all but eliminate speed variation in the puller.

ENGEL’s liquid silicone micro molding system offers the precision of an electric injection unit combined with the flexibility of a tiebarless clamp design. A micro shot size, less than ½ gram, is being molded on an ENGEL e-victory hybrid machine using a 12mm screw and check disc assembly specially-designed for LSR, guaranteeing the repeatability required in micro molding applications.
The machine, with a specially engineered platen which provide the flexibility to run small to large mold bases, has the capability to mold shot sizes up to 50cc with a simple barrel and screw changeover, allowing full utilization of the machine.
Extreme Coatings/Surface Engineering
Booth 4044
Extreme Coatings™ Cushion Master© solid carbide check ring and seat are designed to compliment the wear resistance of a feed screw encapsulated with our tungsten carbide coatings. Tip components are commonly replaced two to three times during the life of a standard feed screw. Cushion Master© components provide toughness, corrosion, and wear resistance that can reduce this replacement ratio to 1:1, eliminating downtime and inefficiency caused by worn components. In very abrasive processes, Cushion Master © will provide four to six times longer life. Cushion Master © is every molder’s aim, the last non-return valve you will ever purchase.
Gneuss Inc.
Booth 4175
Gnueuss has recently expanded their Measurment Technology line of products for measurement and monitoring of melt pressure, temperature, and viscosity. Recently introduced is the new non-mercury Gneuss NTX series of melt pressure transducers, incorporating premium performance and longer life, compared to existing mercury, Nak (sodium potassium) and other alternative-fill material sensors.
Interchangeable with competitive brands, the Gneuss NTX series of premium melt pressure transducers and transmitters offer hi-accuracy, robust designe for challenging enviroments, and also considered favorable in unit cost comparisons.
Gneuss committed several years of development of NTX to provide an industry solution for non-mercury melt pressure instrumentation offering equal or superior mechanical advantages of mercury, without the hazards these devices impose on humans and the environment.

Toshiba Machine Co. of America
Booth 3701
Toshiba’s iPAQET Remote Monitoring System for observing up to 24 electric molding machines in real time from any location will be demonstrated LIVE at PLASTEC West. Installed on Toshiba’s EC65NII 65-ton all-electric molding machine, the system will be used to mold plastic vials and remotely demonstrated from Toshiba’s new Technical Center in Plain City, Ohio. With a new, more advanced electric interlock and additional guards, the EC65NII now complies with the latest ANSI B151-2007 safety standard. An independent safety consultant will be at Toshiba’s booth to answer molders’ questions about the worldwide standard, which becomes effective February 1.
