JOFRA Calibrators At mtec 2008
AMETEK Calibration Instruments will be showing Version 4.0 of the popular JOFRACAL calibration software for the first time in the UK at mtec 2008. This new version provides automatic calibration of sensors using a PC and is now capable of performing pressure calibration as well as temperature calibration. JOFRACAL may be used with JOFRA DPC-500, APC, CPC and IPI pressure calibrators, all JOFRA temperature calibrators, as well as JOFRA AMC900, ASC300 multi signal calibrators and ASM-800 signal multi scanner. AMETEK Calibration Instruments will present a wide range of calibration instruments at mtec 2008.

Balluff have introduced a range of super-short inductive sensors in 6.5mm dia and M8 sizes. The smallest sensor in this product family is only 6 mm long (cable version) available in both housing sizes, with a sensing range of 1.5mm. The extremely short housing of the SuperShorties allows the complete sensor to be positioned directly at the sensing location even in space-critical applications - compact assemblies such as linear slides, valves and actuators. With their rugged stainless steel housing the sensor weighs only 0,7 grams (not including cable). This makes the sensor ideal for high-dynamic applications such as pick-and-place.

The Mti-G is based on the highly successful Mti and MTx Attitude and Heading Reference Systems. The -G adds an embedded GPS, Kalman filter and development software. In addition to corrected outputs from the MEMS inertial sensors, the unit provides outputs of position, velocity and altitude.
The VisTrak is a miniature 6 degrees of freedom Inertial Measurement Unit combined with an 85 degree field of view camera lens. As the Vistrak moves about it monitors a constellation of fiducials pre-mounted in rooms or building wide.

Miniature Amplified Universal Load Cell
Feteris Components are pleased to announce a new miniature amplified load cell. Based on strain gauge technology the new FALC-01 is a tension and compression load cell with integral amplification providing a high level output signal of +/-10VDC. The operating temperature range is from -40 to +85 degrees C and the load cell is fully compensated and environmentally rated to IP65. Load ranges are from +/-250N to +/- 2000N as standard.

The newly-launched T22 torque transducer from HBM is intended as a low-cost solution for applications that have less demanding accuracy requirements. Main applications include static and dynamic torque measurement on stationary or rotating parts in laboratory, test and measurement, as well as in production and process control and education.
With its compact and robust design, the transducer has a 0.5 accuracy, and comes in different nominal (rated) torque steps ranging from 5 N•m to 1000 N•m. The maximum permissible rotational speed ranges from 9,000 up to 16,000 rpm, depending on the measuring range. Integrated electronics ensure ease of use and reduce the cost of the measurement chain.

JUMO Wtrans: Wireless temperature measurement for industrial applications
The probe is available with fitting lengths from 50 to 500 mm, and includes a platinum chip resistor as the sensing element. The transmitter can cover a temperature measurement range from –30 to +85°C.
The receiver (for DIN-rail mounting) provides the measurements on four analog outputs (0(4) — 20mA, 0 — 10V) and via an RS485 interface that uses a Modbus protocol. Each receiver can handle up to 16 Wtrans transmitters (insertion temperature probes), through the RS485 interface.

Recording temperature at the extremes
