At the same time, it has the power to inspect ceramic and metal devices.

Productivity Quality Inc.'s new SmartScope® Specialist™ 300 is an innovative benchtop metrology system offering micron-level measurements within a generous 300x300x250 mm of XYZ travel, to accommodate a multitude of parts. Specialist verifies critical dimensions of a wide range of medical parts from orthopedic implants such as intervertebral disc spacers and artificial discs; the stem, ball and cup of prosthetic ball joints; tibial and femoral knee implants; and tibial and talar ankle implants; to syringe components; to fluid flow components. A measurement routine for one part is easily repeated for a batch of fixtured parts, providing throughput to support production requirements.

Starrett Company recently introduced the Galileo AV350 Video Measurement System, an intermediate travel multi-sensor metrology instrument offering a large, square 14" x 14" (350mm x 350mm) X/Y work area and extra Z-clearance at 8" (200mm). The large Z-clearance, combined with extra rigidity provides the necessary space for multi-sensor attachments, including vision, contact probe and laser scanning. The AV350's color optical system provides a zoom magnification ratio of 12:1 with a programmable magnification range from 15x to 550x (on screen) with auxiliary lenses. Galileo AV350 offers Starrett customers a flexible video measurement solution by featuring a substantial work area together with a large Z-clearance that will accommodate multi-sensor capabilities.

Winslow Engineering is a manufacturer of drill point grinding and cutting tool inspection equipment. The comapny will have their 560 Tool Analyzers on display. Winslow Engineering also gets involved with special engineered design and build projects. This can range from special machines, tooling and fixtures. Their drill point grinders are used by tool manufactures as well as manufacturung facilities requiring reginding of theeir drills. 560 Analyzers are used to check cutting tool geometry as well as various customer parts.
