Assembly Manufacturing

Herrmann Ultrasonics Inc.

Booth 1731

Ultrasonic cut and seal applications are typically limited in their usage due to anvil wear and inconsistent results. In a plunge weld mode, a standard cutting die can be mounted to a new cutting module from Herrmann Ultrasonics. This die can have a length of up to 250mm or a two dimensional shape up to 75 mm x 250 mm. A fixed anvil can also be mounted in conjunction with the cutting module, for a cut and seal. Immediate results can be realized as the cutting module is easy to set up and only requires a supply of compressed air.

Smalley Steel Ring Co.

Booth 1433

Smalley Steel Ring Company introduces a new series of Metric Crest-to-Crest® wave springs. Crest-to-Crest springs enable original equipment manufacturers to reduce the size of their assembly by up to 50% while maintaining the same amount of force and deflection as a regular coiled spring.
Metric Crest-to-Crest® wave springs minimize assembly cost and total assembly size due to the reduced spring cavity required. Smalley offers over 4,000 standard wave springs in 17-7 stainless steel or carbon steel. The new series are available in dimensions from 6 to 60 mm.
