Booth 2221
Comco is the industry leader in micro-abrasive blasting technology and creator of the award-winning MicroBlaster®. Established in 1968, Comco’s innovative thinking and high quality standards have been key to Comco’s success. Micro-abrasive blasters are used for deburring, surface preparation, selective cleaning, material removal and focused cutting in a variety of industries including medical manufacturing, microelectronics, precision machining and the aerospace industry. Comco prides itself on its high quality products and excellent customer service and tech support.
K-Tube Corp.
Booth 1237
K-Tube's introduction of it's HT (homogenous technology) tube last year proves to be an ongoing success! With enhanced surface finishes and a recrystallized weld zone, HT material is a desirable product for those looking at seamless solutions. At a fraction of the cost, the enhanced physical characteristics make it a bargain when compared to actual seamless tubing.
Machine Solutions Inc.
Booth 805
The balloon blow molding/forming machine from Machine Solutions Inc. (MSI) features a highly flexible process control interface aiding in the rapid development of optimal balloon process parameters. The unique MSI heating controls afford great flexibility in process development including spot heating along the mold length, uniform heating of the entire mold or a combination of the two. Finished product will have improved qualities such as uniform shaft and taper wall thickness. Equipment flexibility will allow operation with various materials as well as both metal and glass molds.
Metal Cutting Corp.
Booth 1516
For the specialized stainless steel tubes used in IV applications, this company offers citric acid passivation using multi-stage ultrasonic technologies. The tubes are precisely and burr-free cut whether they are made from coated and uncoated tubing. Further, the coated tubing is processed without damaging the OD coating and a clean inside diameter is maintained. Tubing can be thin wall or small ID or both and lengths vary from long to short. All types of metal tubing can be processed and volumes range from small to large. There is no heat affected zone and concentricity is similarly unaffected by their proprietary cutting technique.
Nufern
Booth 2035
The NuFIRE™ laser is a high-performance 200W ytterbium fiber laser system designed for high precision, unprecedented flexibility, and ease of use. An intuitive Windows™-based interface with visual waveform generator simplifies operation and makes process development accessible even to non-engineers. With slew rates of 70 W/µs and pulse control in 5 µsec steps, NuFIRE offers precise control of power delivered to a workpiece, meaning cleaner cuts and welds. A maximum modulation frequency > 120 kHz means more power can be delivered in a given time interval, resulting in higher throughput. Nufern’s NuPOWER™ fibers provide industry-leading efficiency, beam quality, and lifetime stability.
Opsens Fiber Optic Sensor
Web: www.opsens.com
Booth 1156
Opsens’ fiber-optic pressure and temperature transducers are ideal for catheter embedment. These sensors are small size, customizable and low cost, designed specifically for OEM applications. Delivering design flexibility, accuracy, and reliability to the medical industry, they are also EMI/RFI compatible, simple to use, miniature and robust in design.
Proquis Inc.
Booth 2326
Proquis, Inc. We provide the most comprehensive set of quality management software tools available today. Module specific means you can choose from document control, audits, corrective actions, rapid process mapping, simulation and analysis to CRM. LAN version or enterprise version available depending on the size and number of facilities you link together. All the main international standards supported including (21 CFR, Part 11). We've helped customers like, Unisys, Airbus, US Department of Energy, Home Diagnostics, Carondlet Health Network and various VA Hospitals to deliver better products and services and meet their strict compliance criteria.
Solid Design Solutions, Inc.
Booth 1558
Telehealth Cart: This unit is used for remote examination and diagnosis of patients where access to a doctor is unavailable. The combination of proprietary software, carefully selected components and satellite uplink to staff doctors allows technicians who have as little as a junior high education to examine patients in very remote areas. Solid Design Solutions, Inc. (SDS) was enlisted to improve the design of custom components on the cart, build and stock kits to populate the cart and ship to designated locations. SDS provides a complete solution for the customer in design, manufacturing and order fulfillment. Product design, enhancements, and integration were all performed utilizing SolidWorks. Contract manufacturing is supported by Alliance MRP software
Stat-Ease, Inc.
Booth 1149
Design-Expert 7.1 is a sophisticated, yet user-friendly, software package for design of experiments (DOE). This new release is a must for anyone who wants to uncover the sweet spot in their process, make a breakthrough improvement to their product, or find the optimal formulation. Version 7.1 offers powerful new statistical tools, such as upfront power calculation for factorial designs and the Fraction of Design Space (FDS) graph for design evaluation. There are design and analysis capabilities for mixture and/or process and/or categorical factors. In addition, Design-Expert’s unique tools for generating and graphing propagation of error (POE) help experimenters achieve six sigma objectives for reducing variation.

Booth 1010
SurModics’ Eureka™ DUET Biodegradable Device Matrix is a biodegradable crosslinked polysaccharide matrix that can be molded or extruded as a pre-formed device to deliver proteins, such as an intravitreal filament implant for sustained and controlled delivery of an antibody fragment. Eureka DUET devices can also be engineered to exhibit shape memory capabilities – as in the case of coils to fill aneurysms. The polysaccharide matrix also acts as a natural protein stabilizer, which is extremely important to maintain protein stability and ensure the protein is therapeutically active when released into the body.
