MEDTEC UK is the UK’s only exhibition focused on medical device manufacturing.  Four special focus areas for 2008 will be Precision Tec and Dental Tec, Automation Assembly, Medical Packaging, and Medical Plastics Technology, highlighting up-and-coming areas of medical design. The 3C Suppliers Forum gives exhibition visitors the opportunity to learn about the latest technologies, innovations, and processes relevant to medical device design and manufacturing through free lectures offered by exhibitors in the exhibition hall.  For a glimpse into the future of healthcare, the University Technology Transfer Initiative presents the latest healthcare related research projects from eleven leading UK universities in the TTI theatre in the exhibition hall.

MTec is the UK’s only show dedicated to sensors, measurement, and instrumentation.  Free seminars on the latest advances and applications for strain gauges have been organised by the British Society for Strain Measurement, as well as free seminars on Ethernet, Profibus, and Profinet by the AS-Interface Expert Alliance and Profibus Group. 

Machine Building showcases components, drives, motion control, automation, power transmission, and pneumatic technology for the machine building industry.  The Robotics Demonstration Area, supported by the British Automation and Robotics Association, offers visitors the opportunity to view working industrial robots in action.

IPOT has the complete array of optical, photonics, vision, and displays technology.  Photonics Cluster (UK), the largest industry association dedicated to photonics and optoelectronics in the UK, will offer over twenty five free technical and business briefings.  UK Industrial Vision Association will sponsor fifteen seminars on the exciting new uses for vision technology.

Practical Vacuum is the principal event for all aspects of vacuum technology and semiconductor processing.  The Institute of Physics (IOP) Vacuum Group and British Vacuum Council (BVC) have collaborated to produce a series of free workshops on ways to maintain optimal vacuum utility and vacuum applications.
