The ABOX Automation Corp. PD-1 Desiccant Inserter is capable of speeds up to 200 pouches per minute and with mobile stand makes a perfect to fit any packaging line. The PD-1 comes complete with a hand held touch screen remote controller with a Spanish and English Directory; Auto-Feed (AF) function which allows a new roll of material to automatically home itself to the knife’s edge, minimizing down time; a registration sensor that finds and cuts at the sealed area of a pouch avoiding troubling miss-cuts. Options that make the PD-1 unique include a remote enclosed unwind stand, Allen-Bradley controls, gating system and timing screws.

Allen Field introduced Connecting Clips to improve packaging by eliminating the need for strapping and staples. Re-usable, they are cost-effective and offer quick assembly and removal. The newest Connecting Clip is the Tamper-Evident clip. With all the same benefits as its predecessors, this Tamper-Evident clip is capped with a thin plastic film that tears when the package is meddled with. Not only do these clips provide easy assembly and removal, eliminate constant strapping and staples, and reduce packaging costs-the new Allen Field Tamper-Evident Connecting Clips offer safety and security for packages.

For harsh/wet/cold/dusty/ extreme environments, Bell-Mark offers the PATENTED EasyPrint X. With the protection of an IP 65 rating, the EasyPrint X offers high-speed, high-quality printing and is available in both 2" and 5" widths. And since it is an EasyPrint, variable data is easily printed directly onto substrates such as poly, film, foil and Tyvek.

The FlexPrint mini is the smallest in-line Flexographic printing system which provides high resolution single color printing on Tyvek®, paper and all poly films. The FlexPrint mini has a compact 11.5" x 11.5" frame, and weighs approximately 200 lbs. Like other models of the FlexPrint line, the FlexPrint mini will be able to accomodate substrate widths up to 600mm, and speeds up to 50 cycles per minute.

Other features include odorless amonia free inks, a self contained inking system for easy ink changeovers, and a Teflon® coated ink tray for the fastest, neatest cleanup.

Best Sanitizers, Inc will be introducing the E-Z Step hand sanitizer system for industrial hygiene. Made of stainless stell this dispenser is ideal for industrial environments. The dispenser atomizes the Alpet E-3+ alcohol hand sanitizer which is approved for direct food contact. Atomization is key as it allows for complete hand coverage, unlike alcohol gels, especially in the nails and cuticles.

The Alpet D-2 suface sanitizer and disinfectant will be on display at the show. This is the alcohol based RTU sanitizer approved for food contact surfaces. This is an ideal product for water sensitive equipment and dry environments.

Best Sanitizers, Inc. is introducing its EZ Step Hand Sanitizer Dispenser that is used in conjuction with its Alpet E3+ alcohol hand sanitizer. The dispenser is made with stainless steel and is ideal for harsh industrial settings. It is currently used in over 8000 food processing facilites in the US and Canada. This system is unique in that it allows for complete hand coverage because of its special atomizing feature.

In addition to the hand sanitizer, the company will be exhibing the first ready to use/no rinse alcohol sanitizer disinfectant for food contact surfaces. This is an ideal product for equipment that may be water sensitive.

KOCH Packaging provides sustainable packaging options utilizing proven flexible machine designs. A pre-cut paperboard blank forms the blister pocket to hold the product similar to a film blister. 100% paperboard is used with product viewing windows on either side of package. Plastic blister materials can be run on the same machine with a forming module for higher strength, tamper evident requirements. PVC or PET can be used as well as environmentally friendly recycled PET or PLA films. Equipment solutions available for low to moderate volumes as well as production scale systems. MSSC LLC introduces the ULTIJET high resolution ink jet coder. This system has the ability to print large and small characters. It is also capable of printing non porous surfaces and porous surfaces. On most non porous surfaces dry times are in the .5 to 2 second dry times. The ULTIJET is a fully multi tasking system and can run up to 4 production lines at the same time. It also has bar code capabilities from standard 1 dimensional bar codes to 2D barcodes such as data matrix. ULTIJET is an HP cartridge based system, so there is no maintenance associated with this system.

With the installation of a new vertical form-fill-seal machine, Unicep Packaging, Inc. now contract packages pouches – either stand-up with gussets or a traditional form-fill-seal (FFS). Select pouches as an excellent, inexpensive choice for packaging of liquids, gels and creams. A broad range of heat-sealable papers, films, co-extruded materials and laminates are available. Both die-cut and shaped pouches as well as bottom gusset pouches are available. Sizes range from 1.5 inches to 6 inches wide and 2 inches to 9 inches high. Pouches are cost-effective and make for excellent product samples or single-use retailing packaging.
