As system supplier, Gerresheimer Wilden delivered the complete package from the concept via the technical realization for high-volume production up to the medial product ready for sale.
Instead of common single lancets used hitherto, the new Accu-Chek Multiclix has a stack drum with six integrated lancets. In order to keep each needle sterile prior to first use, the needle points are surrounded with soft plastics. Only when the user triggers the Accu-Chek Multiclix, the needle penetrates this sterile cover.
