Lee Spring

Booth 129

Lee Spring expands its 2008 Stock Compression Spring offering with the introduction of REDUX Wave Springs. These can replace conventional round wire Compression Springs in applications requiring tight load deflection specifications in space critical environments. REDUX Wave Springs are offered in over 100 Stock designs in 17-17PH Stainless Steel. They fit hole diameters from .375” to 1.25” meeting load requirements from 4 lbs to 30 lbs. Custom designs are available. For further information, visit the Lee Spring website.

Metal Cutting Corp.

Booth 143

Recent advances in abrasive cutting by Metal Cutting Corporation made possible the burr-free cutting of longer length tubes without exposing the tubes to corrosive chemicals. Known for short length cutting, Metal Cutting was able to combine proprietary techniques and yield longer length cuts with no ID contamination or residue. Tubes ends have the clean and smooth surfaces characteristic of their supported cut technique while holding parallelism and squareness similar to their short length business. Length tolerances of +/- 0.002" are possible on parts as long as 20.0" and tolerances of +/- 0.010" meet the demands of most customers while allowing fast deliveries.

Metro Mold & Design Inc.

Booth 110

At Metro Mold and Design you will find a partner who offers a broad range of capabilities. MMD has been a custom molder for the medical, bio-medical and pharmaceutical industries for 35 years. MMD has developed a rapid tooling division called ExpressParts™. We can take a 3D model from concept to production-ready injection mold in days, not weeks. This rapid tooling and molding is offered in our thermoplastic injection, extrusion blow molding and thermoset divisions. MMD is ISO certified and has Class 100,000 clean rooms for molding and assembly. OEM’s depend on MMD as their resource for a total sourcing solution.

MPA 8.1 delivers new technologies and key enhancements to help users analyze a broader range of parts with true 3D technology, improve productivity with a redesigned user interface, shorten analysis preparation time with powerful and flexible modeling tools, interpret results more efficiently using new results visualization options, and increase collaboration with expanded communication capabilities.

Polyrack North America

Booth 328

Polyrack introduces "NEW" case line
FreeTEC – The versatile case assembly

POLYRACK announces the introduction of FreeTEC, a cost effective, versatile case for multiple applications. FreeTEC was designed with a self supporting inner frame and a decorative "outer" shell providing a clean appearance. The cover can be easily removed via four screws for ease of serviceability, maintenance and initial assembly. Modifications, such as cut-outs and venting, are easily incorporated into the all metal design. In addition, custom colors and labeling can be applied to give that unique look. The FreeTEC is accessory rich and can meet all custom requirements as well as standard VME, cPCI and VME64x applications. Call us today to discover the possibilities with FreeTEC.

Protomold®

Booth 309

Protomold has some "big" news customers might be able to use.

The maximum part XY area has been expanded to 13.5" by 30.5". This is a huge increase over Protomold's former size limitations, so if previous customers had Protomold's "no-quote" their project before, feel free to upload the CAD model again. If Protomold can make the part, they will send an interactive ProtoQuote® including a free moldability analysis.

Protomold can still configure up to four side-action cams per mold, but the maximum individual cam stroke (depth to which the cam can travel) has been increased from 1.73 inches to 2.9 inches.

Stratasys Inc.

Booth 319

FDM 900mc: Real Production
Built for direct digital manufacturing, the FDM 900mc boasts a 36x24x36 in build envelope, advancements in mechanical, electromechanical, and electrical systems. Based on a new platform, the FDM 900mc is distinct from previous FDM (fused deposition modeling) additive fabrication systems used for production or prototyping. The head gantry is driven by ball screw technology as opposed to previous machines, which are belt driven. This results in a marked improvement in predictability and repeatability. The resulting positional accuracy and part tolerance are substantially improved over previous systems.

Learn more about the FDM 900mc at the Stratasys Inc. website.

Trotec Laser Inc.

Booth 119

Trotec’s FP 100 is a Flatbed, Gantry Based Laser containing a Pulsed Fiber Laser source. The combination of these technologies means speed, flexibility, quality and long product life. The FP 100 is the fastest laser in its class due to Trotec’s robust High-Speed Ramp Up-Control, and is capable of a full 2 m/sec at a maximum resolution of 1000 ppi. Materials that can be processed include coated and bare metals, and many plastics. The FP 100 is ideally equipped for your entrance into the world of direct part marking.
