When overall payload is a concern in larger robotic applications RAD’s new Spring-Assist Collision Sensor can help. The U-4622-SA offers nearly double the capacity of our standard model with no increase in height/diameter and a mass of only 13.5lbs!

RAD Collision Sensors provide crash protection/safety by mechanically detecting when the robot encounters an obstruction, absorbing the crash energy and signaling the robot to stop.

The Spring-Assist Ultimatic™:
* Sends signal to system within 4-10ms
* Absorbs crash energy without air pressure loss
* Resets automatically to ± 0.0005" (XYZ), ± 0.017º rotationally
* Maintains significant resistance even at 0psi
* Provides angular, rotational, axial compliance
