Medtrade Europe Highlights Home Healthcare
More than 5000 industry participants are expected to attend the second annual Medtrade Europe conference and exhibition at the Foires Internationales de Luxembourg exposition centre in Luxembourg. The event will take place 14–16 April and will include the International Wound-Care Conference, as well as seminars on sales, marketing, and customer service in the home healthcare industry. Dealers, distributors, and managers of home healthcare organizations are expected to attend, in addition to manufacturers, suppliers, and government and regulatory personnel.

RAPS 99 Europe Features FDA Workshop
The Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) will hold its annual European conference, RAPS 99 Europe, in Cannes, France, on 26–28 April. The conference will feature 25 sessions addressing key issues and case studies in the regulation of pharmaceuticals; devices; in vitro diagnostics; and biotechnology in Europe, the US and other major global markets. A keynote presentation by health economist Professor Alan Maynard of the University of York will explore the economic, scientific, political, and regulatory forces that will shape healthcare in the 21st century. The society will also host a preconference workshop focusing on FDA, 25–26 April.

ISPE Meets in Zürich
The International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) brings its Zürich programme to the Swissôtel on 17–20 May. The programme will feature courses on bulk manufacturing, cleanroom design and operation, process efficiency, and validation principles.
