Micro-Engineering 98 Colocates with AMB

Conference to Address Immediate Loading of Surgical Implants
"Understanding the Basics of Immediate Loading, State of the Art," the first global conference organized by ISG-PILODI (International Study Group for a Predictable Immediate Loading of Orthopaedic and Dental Implants) will be held 25 September at the Müritz Klinik in Klink-Berlin, Germany. The aim of the event is to bring the issue of healing under early and immediate loading before an audience of manufacturers, biomaterial scientists, and clinicians.

Programme to Discuss Clinical Investigations
Konstanz, Germany, will host "Clinical Investigation of Medical Devices: A Practical Seminar for Medical Device Manufacturers" on 22 September at the Villa Lucia. The programme will be presented in German, and will deal with the requirements of the Medical Devices Directive, German regulations for clinical investigations, and provisions of standards DIN EN 540 and ISO 14155.

Russia to Host Hospital 98
Hospital 98, International Healthcare Exhibition, will take place 21–24 September at the Lenexpo Exhibition Centre in St. Petersburg, Russia. Exhibitors are expected to display a wide range of products including diagnostics, electromedical equipment and devices, surgical instruments, raw materials, medical and laboratory equipment, and disposable products.

Normédica and Ajutec to Be Held Concurrently
Normédica 98, the fourth Health Trade Fair, will be held alongside Ajutec 98, the fifth International Exhibition of Technical Aids and New Technologies for Disabled People, 24–27 September at Exponor, International Oporto Fair, in Oporto, Portugal. MEDTEC 98 Returns to Amsterdam
MEDTEC, a unique international exhibition and conference dedicated exclusively to the supply and service of Europe's medical manufacturers, will take place 7–9 October at RAI International Exhibition and Congress Centre, Amsterdam. Approximately 300 exhibitors are expected to present the latest equipment, components, materials, subcontracting services, and information.

SAITEX Comes to Johannesburg
Johannesburg will host SAITEX, the South African International Trade Exhibition, 6–10 October at the Expo Centre. According to show organizers, the Medtrade Africa Pavilion will be the highlight of this year's global trade-only event. Special events to be held in conjunction with Medtrade Africa include the annual conference of the Woundcare Society of South Africa to take place 7–8 October. The conference will feature presentations and workshops on the latest innovations in wound treatment.

Biomedicine and Health Exhibition to Be Held in Milan
MilanoSalute, the Scientific and Industrial Exhibition on Biomedicine and Health, will take place 7–10 October at the Milan Fair, Milan. The international event will highlight advanced research projects commissioned by European and Italian governmental and nongovernmental agencies in fields related to biomedicine and health.
