Munich Hosts Electronica

The Electronica trade show will showcase new developments in electronics, wireless technology, and application-oriented assemblies. Held every two years at the Munich fairgrounds, the show is scheduled for 11–14 November this year. Approximately 3000 exhibitors and 78,000 visitors are expected to attend the event, which will fill 152,000 m² of exhibition space.

Workshop Considers Developments in European Regulatory Procedures

Scheduled for November 12–13, a workshop will provide information on European regulatory procedures from a strategic and practical perspective. The course will offer advice on how to work with regulators, how to plan for a regulatory review, and how to negotiate during the review and the appeals processes. The event will be held at the Sheraton Brussels Airport Hotel in Belgium.

Frankfurt Hosts EuroMold

Now in its 15th year, the EuroMold trade show will return to the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre 5–8 December. The show will feature new developments in moulding equipment and services and product design. According to event planners, the show will fill 80,050 m². Last year’s event attracted approximately 65,000 visitors and around 1600 exhibitors. Singapore Will Host New Medical Equipment Manufacturing Show

Organized by the Singapore Precision Engineering & Tooling Association, the first annual Asia Medtech trade show will be held 25–28 March 2009 at the Singapore Expo. The exhibition will serve as a showcase for suppliers of raw materials, manufacturing equipment, and subcontracting services seeking to establish contacts with the region’s medical device manufacturing sector. Approximately 150 exhibiting companies are expected to participate and showcase their component manufacturing capabilities for a range of medical applications. Country pavilions from Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, and the United States will be featured. The event will occupy 5000 m² of hall space, according to event planners.

Pharmapack Exhibition to Be Held in Paris

The eighth annual Pharmapack exhibition will take place 21–22 January 2009 at the Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris, France. The event will gather more than 170 companies involved in the pharmaceutical packaging industry, including designers, manufacturers, and suppliers of materials and production equipment. The show aims to encourage exchanges among companies specializing in pharmaceutical and healthcare-product packaging. The event’s conference programme will take stock of innovations in the field and provide information on new developments in combination products. More than 2500 professionals are expected to attend the event. With 35 lectures scheduled, the show also will feature two days of technical conferences.

Subcontracting Trade Show Returns to Paris

The Midest international trade show will be held 4–7 November at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre. Filling 50,000 m² of exhibition space, the event will present new products and services from companies specializing in industrial subcontracting. Technologies featured at the show will range from materials processing to production logistics. An award ceremony for subcontractors is also scheduled to take place during the event.
