Plastics Processing Trade Fair to Be Held in Birmingham
Event organizers have reported strong interest from companies wishing to exhibit at this year’s Interplas trade fair, which will be held at the Birmingham NEC from 30 September to 2 October. First established in 1951, Interplas offers plastics industry professionals the opportunity to evaluate and compare live machinery in action and source products related to plastics manufacturing. A triennial event, Interplas is endorsed by a variety of trade associations. The exhibition attracts visitors from a range of end markets and industries including medical device technology. Supporting the exhibition will be a free seminar programme with industry speakers addressing topics such as innovation, sustainability, and future trends and challenges in the industry.

Besançon Hosts Micronora
Dedicated to exploring developments in microtechnology, the Micronora trade fair will be held 23–26 September in the French city of Besançon. Featured at the event will be exhibitors from companies with specialties in areas such as micromechanical engineering, microelectronics, microconnectors, microactuators, microsensors, electronic circuits, automation, microsystems, and robotics peripherals. The show has grown steadily since its inception more than 30 years ago.

Motek Assembles in Stuttgart
Stuttgart will host the Motek international trade fair for automation on 22–25 September. Previously held in the German city of Sinsheim, the show was held in Stuttgart for the first time last year. The show’s location in the Baden-Württemberg capital puts it in close proximity to numerous manufacturers of assembly technology, industrial handling, robot systems, and mechatronic production automation equipment. Last year’s show featured 1100 exhibiting companies and was attended by 38,144 visitors.

Friedrichshafen Welcomes Fakuma
The Fakuma international trade fair for plastics processing will be held in Friedrichshafen, Germany, on 14–18 October. Now occupying roughly 475,000 sq ft of exhibition floor space, the show has grown steadily since it was launched in 1981. Last held in 2006, the show will allow attendees to learn about developments in processing machinery and peripherals, raw materials and applications, as well as automation equipment.

Conference Examines Radiation Processing
The International Meeting on Radiation Processing conference is scheduled for 21–25 September in London. The event is held once every two years in different locations around the world to encourage international participation. The objective of the conference is to provide members of the radiation processing industry with the opportunity to discuss the business, science, technology, and regulation of radiation processing.
