Canon Communications LLC (Los Angeles, CA, USA) has announced that it will launch MEDTEC France in Besançon at the foot of the Jura mountains next year. Scheduled for 22–23 April, the exhibition and conference joins the lineup of MEDTEC events organized by Canon Communications, which also publishes this magazine; other sites include Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Germany.

Besançon was selected as the location for the event because of the concentration of medical manufacturing within the Franche Comté region (which is also an internationally renowned centre for microtechnology) as well as the neighbouring regions. In addition, the city is strategically located near the border of French-speaking western Switzerland, making MEDTEC France a unique showcase for Swiss medical technology companies.

Canon’s trade show department anticipates welcoming approximately 300 exhibitors. A dedicated conference addressing issues of special interest to the French medical manufacturing industry will run alongside the show.
