Europe’s largest exposition and conference devoted to medical device manufacturing begins its second decade with a bang. MEDTEC 2008 comes to the dazzling new Trade Fair Centre, conveniently located next to the airport, in Stuttgart, Germany, on 11–13 March.
In addition to hundreds of hands-on displays and live demonstrations of a wide range of medical device design and manufacturing tools, the event will include four pavilions devoted to precision technology, medical plastics, automation, and packaging systems. Exhibition highlights as well as product previews are featured throughout this section.
As always, the trade show is complemented by a comprehensive conference programme exploring issues that directly affect the med-tech industry. Experts will address such topics as changes in device regulations, developments in materials testing, and global sourcing strategies. A full conference schedule starts on page 100.
