Berlin and Massachusetts Association Establish Med-Tech Alliance
A transatlantic alliance has been formed to promote collaborative projects in the medical device sector between the city of Berlin and medical device manufacturers in Massachusetts, USA. The agreement involves MassMEDIC, an association that represents the med-tech industry in Massachusetts; public-private economic development agency Berlin Partner; and Berlin-based TSB Innovation Agency, which sponsors and promotes innovative science and research projects in Berlin.
Berlin reportedly is home to 200 medical engineering companies, whereas the state of Massachusetts has more than 225 analogous manufacturers, according to Berlin Partner. The agreement states that the organizations will collaborate in various relevant projects and exchange information.
