Be prepared for a lot of small talk at Compamed. The IVAM Microtechnology Network will host a forum titled High-Tech for Medical Devices in the centre of Hall 8A. Companies involved in the design, development, and manufacture of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and related products will have an opportunity to describe these technologies and their potential applications at this forum. They should find plenty of attentive listeners. As the accompanying figure illustrates, medical technology ranks first among target markets for Europe’s MEMS industry. The results were compiled by IVAM and are published in its Micro/Nano Atlas of Europe.
