NanoEurope to Be Held in Switzerland

Scheduled for 11–13 September in St. Gallen, Switzerland, the fifth annual NanoEurope Fair & Conference will provide medical device professionals an opportunity to discover recently developed applications for nanotechnology materials. Research findings in particle technology, nanocomposites, and organic nanolayers will be presented at a conference session scheduled for 12 September that addresses medical applications of nanotechnology. This discussion will be held in English with simultaneous translation into German. The conference also will provide an overview of recent developments in tissue engineering and drug delivery.

India Hosts International Medical Trade Fair

Medifest, an Indian trade fair devoted to medical, pharmaceutical, and hospital equipment will be held 12–14 October in an exhibition centre in central New Delhi. The second annual trade fair will provide comprehensive information and a global overview of developments in a variety of medical sectors, according to the event planner.

Industrial Parts-Cleaning Trade Fair Scheduled

Parts2Clean, a trade fair dedicated to industrial parts cleaning will be held 9–11 October at the recently completed exhibition center in Stuttgart, which is adjacent to the Stuttgart International Airport. Currently in its fifth year, will fill 17% more exhibition space than it did the year previously, according to event planners. Products to be featured at the fair include cleaning agents, conveyor systems, and equipment for cleaning parts made of metal, plastic, glass, ceramics, and composite materials.

Thermoplastic Elastomers Conference Announced

A conference devoted to developments in thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) is scheduled for 23–24 October in Cologne, Germany. Organized by Rapra Technology, the event will present advances in TPE materials and processes. Now in its 10th year, the conference is expected to draw engineers attending the K 2007 plastics show in nearby Düsseldorf.

Laboratory Safety Conference Convenes in London

A conference dedicated to laboratory safety and biosafety will take place 3 October in London as part of the L.A.B. trade show, which itself is scheduled for 2–4 October. The event will examine topics such as safety techniques, incident response, and the role of management in laboratory safety. Organized by Leipziger Messe, the conference will be chaired by John Day, the head of quality and safety at the Laboratory of the Government Chemist (Teddington, Middx, UK).
