Chinese firm ZEMIC has more than 200 engineers on the payroll to develop custom products for its partner company Variohm-Eurosensor, which supplies a range of sensors and transducers such as those shown here.

In a move to boost its ability to supply standard and custom products, Variohm-Eurosensor (Towcester, Northants, UK) has teamed up with the Shaanxi, China–based firm Zhongang Electronic Measuring Instruments Company, Ltd. (ZEMIC). With more than 2000 employees, the Chinese firm claims to be the world’s third-largest manufacturer of load- and weight-sensing products. The company has a total of 225 engineers dedicated to developing custom industrial products for Variohm. ZEMIC also will supply standard products.

ZEMIC has been developing and manufacturing sensors and load cells since 1965. The firm also offers components such as synthetic corundum crystals, transducers, force and pressure indicators, and process automation systems. Its European branch is in Etten-Leur, Netherlands.
