Gasket Manufacturer’s Web Site Offers Interactive PDFs

Visitors to the Tech-Etch (Plymouth, MA, USA) Web site at www.tech-etch.com/shield can download PDFs of sales drawings for standard EMI/RFI shielding finger stock products. Part dimensions and tolerances can be converted instantly from inches to millimetres. The PDFs also automatically calculate the length of the strip based on the numbers of fingers entered and use that information. The user can specify finish requirements and standard or low-compression-force shielding options. A separate customer part number assigned by the user can be added to the drawing before it is printed. The interactive PDFs are designed to provide increased speed and accuracy when specifying or ordering shielding gaskets. In addition to finger stock, the Web site contains a catalogue of conductive elastomers, metallized fabric and mesh gaskets, vents, filters, board-level shielding, contact rings, and connector gaskets. A shielding photo gallery and a glossary of shielding terms are also available.
