Workshop Explores Surface Modification Technologies
A workshop on joining and surface modification will be held on 28 November at the Centrelink House conference venue in Birmingham, UK. Topics to be discussed include surface modification technologies that support medical device applications across a range of clinical disciplines. The workshop also will address the development of new generations of medical polymers, laser-based joining technologies, and the use of surface modification to improve biocompatibility.

Medical Plastics Event to Be Held in Copenhagen
A seminar and conference will analyze trends in the medical plastics industry. Scheduled from 27 to 30 November at the Schæffergården Conference Centre in Copenhagen, the event is intended for professionals in the medical device industry who are involved in the fields of design, materials, production, product development, and quality assurance. EuroMold Returns to Frankfurt
EuroMold will return to the Frankfurt Messe from 29 November to 2 December. Now in its 13th year, the trade show will feature an exhibition hall devoted to medical applications of the mould-making and tooling industry. A two-day lecture forum on medical technology is also scheduled. Event planners are expecting more than 60,000 visitors and approximately 1700 exhibitors.

Prague Hosts Medical Device Summit
