A technical ceramics supplier and manufacturer of critical components has expanded its presence in Europe. CoorsTek Inc. (Golden, CO, USA) has officially announced its purchase of VZS Seagoe Advanced Ceramics of Glenrothes, Fife, UK. The new location adds nearly 4000 m2 to the company’s global manufacturing capacity.
VZS was acquired in March 2005. Since that time, CoorsTek has been upgrading operations throughout the plant. Teams have been put in place to implement the OpX manufacturing excellence programme, high-purity material integration, and other global standards.
CoorsTek has been manufacturing in Europe for more than three decades. “Significantly increased demand for high-performance ceramic components in many EU markets drove our decision to expand here,” says Mark Petty, executive vice president.
