Event Addresses Nanotechnology
The Nanotech 2006 conference and trade show will convene 7–11 May at the Boston Sheraton Hotel and the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA, USA. Now in its ninth year, the event is expected to attract more than 300 exhibitors and in excess of 3000 visitors. Presentations Highlight Developments in CAN Technology
An event dedicated to keeping professionals abreast of developments in controller area network (CAN) technology will take place in three countries. Known as “CiA Information Day,” the event will be held 17 March in Chicago, IL, USA; 23 March in Nuremberg, Germany; and 1 June in Milan, Italy. Employees from CAN in Automation (Erlangen, Germany) will make presentations at the events on technical specifications and market trends for CAN-based standards. Online registration is available.

Microsystems Technology Event Examines Precision Assembly
A convention dedicated to microsystems technology, nanotechnology, and ultraprecision manufacturing will take place at the Sinsheim Exhibition Centre 9–12 May in Sinsheim, Germany. Initially launched as a trade show in 2004, the event has evolved into a technical trade fair with a complementary conference. The event will also cover such topics as tool- and mould making, precision plastic part and device assembly, and quality assurance issues.

Medical Expo to Be Held in Paris
The Hopital Expo–Intermedica exhibition will be held 16–19 May in Hall 1 at the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre in Paris. Providing visitors with access to French-speaking markets, the event is expected to draw 800 exhibitors. Anaesthesia devices, intensive-care products, operating theatres, surgical instruments, sterilization technology, laboratory equipment and products, and emergency equipment will be on display. The accompanying conference will be held in French.
