Cleanroom Moulding Facility EstablishedA UK-based supplier of contract moulding, assembly, and packaging services recently opened a cleanroom moulding operation inside its 30,000-sq-ft facility. Jarden Plastic Solutions (Christchurch, Dorset) anticipates that the facility will attract Europe- and US-based med-tech companies seeking disposable packaging and subcontracting and subassembly services. The cleanroom adds 6000 sq ft to the facility and houses 12 injection moulding presses. “Our staff members are very excited about the opportunity to grow our facility into the premier site in Europe for medical and consumer companies,” says Tim Woodley, general manager of the company’s UK office.
Products that will be fabricated in the new cleanroom include drug-delivery and filtration devices, as well as disposable components. The company can also provide product conception, prototyping, and distribution services.
