Flow Equipment Suppliers Open European Base
OEM customers of Bio-Chem Valve Inc. and Omnifit Ltd. (both Boonton, NJ, USA) may soon benefit from a new sales office in Angleur, Belgium. The office will serve OEM customers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Italy, and Portugal.
The Angleur office will be able to place and check orders, provide pricing information, and offer specialized engineering assistance. The facility has an engineer in residence to work with customers on design, order entry, and purchasing issues. Technical field assistance also will be available.

German Group Acquires IVD Contract Manufacturer
Messer Industrie GmbH (Sulzbach, Germany) recently announced its acquisition of the MEC Group, which owns BIT Analytical Instruments (Schwalbach, Germany). A contract manufacturer that focuses on IVD analysis instruments for the OEM market, BIT will now offer its services on a larger scale than it had previously.
“The switch from a financial investor to a future-oriented strategic investor has secured our market position and customer faith in BIT’s future. At the same time, our well-structured Kaizen culture and global sourcing activities have given BIT aºsignificant position within the Messer Group,” commented Marius Balger, CEO of BIT.
