Seminar Focuses on Shock- and Vibration-Testing

Trace Laboratories–Central (Palatine, IL, USA) will host a seminar on shock and vibration testing and analysis on 5–7 November at its Palatine facility. The seminar will be conducted by the Equipment Reliability Institute. The course is geared to engineers who need practical knowledge about mechanical vibration and shock testing, measurement, analysis, design, instrumentation, and calibration. The three-day course will include topics such as environmental and highly accelerated stress screening, and highly accelerated life testing. The course will also include an exploration of shock and vibration test fixtures, and will review testing standards and methods.

Conference Explores Filters Characterization

The forthcoming Filtration Society conference will be held at the Heath Conference Centre in Runcorn, Chelshire, UK, on 27 November. Sponsored by Whitehouse Scientific (Waverton, UK), it will offer an introduction to the performance of filters and their characterization. An exhibition will run alongside the meeting. Topics to be addressed include pore size measurement, precision particle size analysis methods, and final quality performance of filter media. Leading companies in the field will discuss benchmark instruments and recent developments in the field. Particular emphasis will be placed on new and emerging technologies.

Paris Hosts Subcontracting Show

Midest will be held on 18–21 November at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre near Paris. EuroMold Celebrates 10th Anniversary in Frankfurt

EuroMold will take place on 3–6 December at the Frankfurt, Germany, exhibition centre Frankfurt/Main in Germany. The show will feature companies that specialize in mould making and tooling. It will also include extensive activities to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the event. The show will be co-located with Turntec, an international trade fair for turning technology. Participants will include suppliers of turned parts from the major European cities. Companies specializing in lathes and other tooling, clamp systems, and raw materials will also exhibit. A Turntec Award will be presented to the company with the most innovative products and company strategies.
