Cambridge Welcomes Nanoparticles 2003

On 26–28 October, the sixth annual Nanoparticles conference will be held in Cambridge, MA, USA. The conference will cover a range of technology and business topics relevant to manufacturers, end-users, researchers, and investors in the nanomaterials field. It will include two full days of invited oral presentations, a preconference tutorial workshop, a product exhibition, and a technical poster session. For the first time, the event will recognize a company that has shown related R&D. Denmark Hosts Medical Plastics Conference

Medical Plastics 2003 convenes on 27–30 October at the Schæffergården Conference Centre in Gentofte, Denmark. The program is directed toward industry professionals who are involved in the fields of production, design, product development, materials, quality assurance, and testing. The conference will cover issues such as the use of polycarbonate films, PVC, and SEBS thermoplastic elastomers in medical applications. To complement the conference program, Medical Plastics 2003 will feature an exhibition conveniently located next to the conference room. The exhibition will provide delegates with the opportunity for a hands-on inspection of materials and product samples. Suppliers and technical personnel will be present to discuss product and equipment needs.

Risk Management Highlighted in Brussels

A workshop on risk management and quality systems and a technical forum will be held on 29–30 October at the Sheraton Airport hotel in Brussels. The workshop will discuss the impact of the forthcoming withdrawal of EN 1441 and its replacement by ISO 14971. The forum will update attendees on key regulatory issues such as the MDD review and pharmaceutical and human-tissue regulation.

e-Health Issues Explored in London

Organized by the International eHealth Association, a conference on e-health issues will take place on 16–17 October in London. The meeting will address issues related to surgery, telemedicine, telecare, neuroscience, and the national IT strategy.
