Precision Components Data Goes Paperless
Application data related to the manufacture of miniature metal parts has been made available on-line. RFI screening, solder paste stenciling, photoetching, and electroforming processes are detailed in PDF files that can be found at
www.tecan.co.uk. Sponsored by Tecan Components Ltd. (Weymouth, Dorset, UK), the site offers separate access to process and parts data to make it easier for the user to locate relevant material. Tecan has converted to a paperless system to ensure that customers consistently have up-to-date information.
Monitor Mounting Compatibility Information On-Line
Liquid-crystal display (LCD) users seeking mounting compatibility information on more than 4000 flat-panel monitors can find help on a Web site from Ergotron (Amsterdam, Netherlands). Visitors to
www.ergotron.co.uk can follow a link named Compatible monitor? to use a scroll-down menu of LCD brands and models. A data sheet provides information about each monitor and its compatibility with an Ergotron swivel arm. Information regarding the VESA hole pattern, the weight of the monitor with and without the base, screen size, and, if applicable, mounting directions is also included. If the monitor does not comply with the VESA standard, information is given about the availability of an interface.
One-Stop Drug Delivery Portal Launched
RxLogix.com (London, UK) has launched an interactive portal to provide information on drug discovery, development, and delivery. The targeted site
(www.rxlogix.com) aims to help expedite research, business development, and information gathering. RxLogix.com offers a wide range of services and features including a news desk, daily science updates and alerts, instant messaging for real-time discussion forums, and a weekly newsletter service. The site “is intended to be the most comprehensive portal for the pharmaceutical and allied healthcare industries,” says marketing director Roger Myhill. The Web site also provides an on-line bookstore with market and medical reports, and searchable company directories and databases.
