Fortimedix B.V.In addition to stent development and manufacturing, a company produces stent-related equipment. "We offer a one-stop-shopping philosophy," says Henk Meens, manager of sales and marketing for Fortimedix B.V. (Nuth, Netherlands). "We are not only a manufacturer of stents, but we design and upgrade stents, and have in-house manufacturing capabilities—laser cutting, electropolishing, and annealing—which can reduce development time frames significantly."
In-house stent-manufacturing capabilities allow full and absolute control over key technologies, he adds. This enables Fortimedix not only to shorten stent development cycles, but also to respond rapidly to ever-changing market demands.
The company's stent-related equipment includes a stent prereduction machine, stent crimpers, and a heat-set machine.
