Remmele Engineering Inc., Micromachining Div.

Micromachining services are provided for the fabrication of complex medical device components and assemblies in submillimetre to metre sizes. ISO certified, Remmele Engineering Inc.'s Micromachining Div. (Big Lake, MN, USA) produces critical components in a single operation to enhance accuracy and repeatability. Its project managers combine supply-chain management with business systems to speed complex programs into production.

The company's capabilities include micromachining down to 0.3 mm; CNC 5-axis micromilling and microgrinding; and CNC 5-, 8-, and 10-axis Swiss machining. Conventional CNC turning and milling of miniature features are also offered. Titanium and stainless steel are routinely processed. The firm achieves wall thicknesses down to 0.038 mm and tolerances to 0.003 mm. It has contributed to the development and production of spinal systems, cardiovascular devices, pump housings, back fixations, and various implantables.
