A specialist in high-precision laser material processing conducts laser cutting of complex geometries (flat or tube) and miniature workpieces with standard tolerances of 0.005 mm. "The company has in-depth experience, especially in cutting the finest contours, complex-part geometries, and tiny medical components," says Clemens Meyer-Kobbe, president of Meko Laser Material Processing (Sarstedt, Germany).
The ISO 9002 and EN 46002certified firm also performs laser welding, creating spot and seam welds with high strength for thin foils and wires, thermal-sensitive sensors, and surgical instruments. It uses all types of materials, including stainless steel, nitinol, tantalum, niobium, titanium, ceramics, and plastics, and has capabilities for bending, polishing, electropolishing, and ultrasonic finishing.
As a specialist in stent cutting using laser technology, Meko offers a variety of stent designs, tube diameters, and materials. Upon request, stents can be heat-treated and polished.
