PUMPS
Oil-free pumps designed for medical lab use
Reliably delivering flow rates up to 40 L/min and vacuum pressure down to 8 mbar, oil-free pumps introduced at Medica are suited for use in rotary evaporation, gel drying, and other medical research applications. The Innovac line was presented by Charles Austen Pumps Ltd. (Byfleet, Surrey, UK) at the annual medical industry event.
The pump's wetted parts are constructed entirely of PTFE to ensure resistance to corrosive gasses and solvent vapours. Other features include a composite-bond diaphragm system that extends service life; T-slot rails for easy mounting of attachments; and a flush, folding carrying handle. Storage space for service tools and an hour meter to monitor process times and indicate maintenance schedules are concealed under the handle.
Models 20 and 40 are currently available, with other variations and accessories to follow.
