PRINTING EQUIPMENT
Antimicrobial materials are used to produce printer housingsPrinters are the latest in a long line of products to be manufactured with antimicrobial materials. Sato Europe (Ratingen, Germany) presented its CT 400series printers at the recent Emballage show, touting the product's benefits in healthcare facilities, specialist manufacturing plants, laboratories, and other environments in which cleanliness and hygiene are a concern.
The CT-series printers feature high data-transfer rates and processing speeds, allowing them to print labels without pausing even when there are multiple changes in data and graphics. The Windows driver enables the use of almost any Windows-based program.
The CT400series printers are manufactured with a special antimicrobial material that repels microorganisms and withstands temperatures up to 800°C. They are suited for printing bar code labels in medical laboratories, pharmaceutical plants, cleanrooms, and other controlled industrial environments.
