Norgesplaster A/S
A company that cites the development and production of medical-grade adhesive coatings as its core activity offers a broad range of materials and products and converting services to device OEMs. Norgesplaster A/S (Vennesla, Norway), the medical device branch of the US-based pharmaceuticals company Alpharma, has developed pressure-sensitive medical tapes and adhesives suitable for coating on nonwovens, films, foams, and fabrics. The products are tailored to customer specifications. The company's responsiveness to its customers, combined with more than 60 years of experience, have contributed to its ongoing success, according to director Helge Muggerud.
Because it is a rather small company, Norgesplaster is able to be very flexible when it comes to meeting customer demands, notes Muggerud.
The firm's Scantape and Scanfoam adhesive products are typically used in wound dressings, surgical instruments, diagnostic devices, electrodes, IV components, allergy test devices, and related products. Specially formulated hypoallergenic adhesive systems are increasingly used in allergy testing devices, notes Muggerud, to prevent irritation.
Quality systems include well-integrated traceability and identification processes, and the firm is versed in CE marking procedures. Just-in-time deliveries to European and overseas destinations are available.
