Fully
validatable impulse sealing units are available for sterile medical device packaging
applications. The hm 460 and 660 V impulse sealers, developed by Hawo GmbH (Obrigheim,
Germany), feature a temperature regulation function for the processing of temperature-sensitive
film and an RS-232 PC interface for continuous process control.
"The units are equipped with digital control and, by way of a serial interface, they can transmit temperature, sealing-pressure, and sealing-time parameters to a PC," says general manager Christian Wolf. "The sealing results are objectively verifiable and can be traced at any time," he adds.
The hm 460 and 660 V also feature automated electronic sealing and cooling, integrated film-roll storage, and a built-in film cutter.
