PRODUCT UPDATE
Multivac Sepp Haggenmüller GmbH and Co. KG
A
manufacturer of thermoform-fill-seal rollstock packaging and vacuum-chamber
systems offers a compact reel-fed packing machine suited for small to medium-sized
capacities. Developed by Multivac Sepp Haggenmüller GmbH & Co. KG (Wolfertschwenden,
Germany), the R230 produces easy-to-open thermoformed blister and flexible-film
packs that ensure a safe, sterile environment for catheters, syringes, surgical
devices, tubing, dialysis kits, and other medical equipment.
The firm's automated systems, particularly its larger-capacity R530, can help device OEMs to maintain product safety while reducing packaging costs, according to the company. "The medical industry depends on suppliers to provide packages that are safe, sterile, and easy to use," explains manager Wil Caraballo. "With our systems, device manufacturers can deliver these qualities while enhancing productivity and minimizing operational costs."
