PRODUCT UPDATE

NetMotion Inc.

"Tubing is more specialized now than it was 10 years ago," says David Castro, sales engineer for NetMotion Inc. (Fremont, CA, USA). "Device manufacturers today are looking for specialty products that are designed to meet the specific needs of their application." For high-purity applications, NetMotion's Naflon PFA-HG tubing may be an appealing option. Created with reduced fluorine-ion levels and a minimized spherical crystallization structure, this tubing offers a wall surface that is flatter and smoother than standard products.

Benefits that result from this construction include decreased elution of liquids, lower gas and liquid permeation, and reduced particle entrapment. "Because fewer particles are trapped, the tubing also takes less time to clean," adds Castro. When compared to standard products, the tubing also reduces haze by as much as 20%. Resistant to cracking in harsh environments, the tubing is offered with outer diameters that span 0.8 to 80 mm.
