E-NewsValidation Seminar Presented On-Line
A manufacturer of medical packaging and fabricating machinery, Doyen Medipharm (Barton, Cambs, UK), has launched the first in a series of free educational seminars live from their Web site. The seminar, located at www.doyenmedipharm.com, is titled "How to Validate your Packaging Machinery" and aims to teach medical device manufacturers how to write and implement their own validation plan. The seminar uses a slide format and combines pictures, text, animation, and an audio commentary. Viewers can move at their own speed, and special software is not needed to run the program. The seminar discusses in detail how to focus validation activities, generate planned maintenance within the validation framework, control change and design meaningful tests, and comply with US FDA regulations. Coupled with the seminar, Doyen provides free resources in the form of templates and technical documents on the Web site.
Machinery Supplier Unveils New Web Site
A Web site has been launched to better serve customers seeking replacement parts, retrofits, rebuilds, field service, and on-line technical support for turret punch presses and right angle shears. The Web site, presented by Automated Machinery Inc. (Covington, KY, USA), can be found at www.ami-service.com.
Individual pages of the Web site are devoted to details about restoring turret bores. There is also a retrofit/rebuild page that offers information about the most cost-effective way to achieve new machine performance and reliability by upgrading CNC controls or by a complete mechanical rebuild of turret punch presses or right angle shears.
The site also includes a used equipment page where AMI customers who are selling or seeking used equipment can list their offerings or needs, free of charge.
