Firm offers high-precision turned parts for implants
"We enjoy the chance to show the highest quality level that we are capable of," says Angelo Rovere, manager at Carniaflex S.r.l. (Paluzza, Italy), explaining his firm's activity in the medical sector.
Carniaflex machines titanium and stainless steel for the medical industry. The company offers custom turning services using advanced Swiss CNC machining tools and quality testing devices. Its production department uses single-spindle turning machines with 10 controlled axes. The machines feature high-pressure deep-boring systems, as well as internal and external thread-milling devices. Parts for implants, orthopaedics, traumatology, dentistry, and maxillofacial surgery can be produced in quantities ranging from single prototypes to preseries and series production.
"Many of our parts remain implanted in the body, so the quality requirements are quite high," says Rovere. Carniaflex, which exhibited at Medica, has supplied flexible metal tubes for more than 30 years. The firm is certified to ISO 9002 and EN 46002.
