INJECTION MOULDING

Connectors, other components produced for healthcare sector

Trade shows have proven to be a good source of business for CG. Tec (Frasne, France). The firm, which exhibited at Midest, recently developed a component incorporating a new injectable polymer for a German healthcare client who visited its booth at the Micronora show in Besançon, France.

CG. Tec produces components for medical and pharmaceutical applications, as well as custom connectors. The company's injection and insert moulding workshop consists of a stock of self-regulated presses ranging in size from 15 to 100 t, all with process monitoring. The workshop allows the company to meet all customer needs and to produce series ranging from hundreds to several million parts per year. Materials processed include PPS, PA, PEI, PES, PEEK, LCP, PBT, and POM. Parts that weigh between 0.01 and 50 g can be produced. High-precision parts involving overmoulding and two-material injection are specialties.

"Quality is our concern, beginning with the design stage," says Alain Germain, commercial director at the company. "From the reception of raw materials to the storage of finished products, we continuously monitor quality."
