Düsseldorf to Host K 2001
The International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber, K 2001, will be held 25 October to 1 November in Düsseldorf, Germany. The fair is expected to attract more than 265,000 visitors. In addition to its various plastic and rubber exhibits, the event will also feature a special exhibit on how plastics used in the aerospace industry can be applied to other industries.

Manufacturing Week Hosts Four Events
Held in Birmingham, UK, from 30 October to 1 November, Manufacturing Week 2001 is the country's largest exhibition for the manufacturing industry. The exhibition is divided into four events: the design engineering show; automation; drives, motors, and controls; and production. A seminar on cost reduction techniques in design and manufacture is among the various seminars offered during the exhibition.

PrintPack 2001 Will Be Held in Conjunction with FachPack 2001
A new event, PrintPack, will take place during FachPack 2001 from 10–12 October in Nürnberg, Germany. PrintPack was created as an arena to display package- and label-printing systems and supplies. Products and services on display at PrintPack will include prepress and packaging design, package and label printing, processing, and packaging supplies production. FachPack is the trade fair for packaging and labelling technology.

Exponor Comprises Two Healthcare Fairs
The Exponor fair will host Normédica and Ajutec from 11 to 14 October in Leça da Palmeira, Portugal. Conference Showcases Tissue Repair
An annual conference on tissue repair, replacement, and regeneration will feature 75 companies in the fields of tissue engineering, cell therapy, biomaterials, gene therapy, growth factors, drug delivery, and xenotransplantation. The conference is scheduled for 23–24 October in New York City, and will be preceded on 22 October by a one-day symposium, "Understanding Cells and Materials for Tissue Engineering."
