Miyachi Unitek offers a comprehensive range of resistance welding, laser welding, laser marking, and laser cutting technologies for today's medical device manufacturers. All of our welders feature closed-loop power feedback and built-in quality monitors, and output data to meet the FDA's stringent standards regarding GMP.

Laser Welders
Miyachi Unitek's Nd:YAG laser welders range in power from 0.25 to 600W – 12 models to choose from – addressing both micro spot welding and high speed seam applications. The lasers are well geared to system integration, and, with multiple outputs, can support several workstations or focus head configurations.

Turnkey fiber laser welders were recently added to the company's system capabilities lineup. Fiber lasers are unique welding sources that provide excellent welding performance with minimal cost of ownership. Both low power and high power fiber lasers can be integrated into the existing range of Delta Series or custom workstations with motion options including multi-axis orthogonal stages and 6-axis robotic arms.

The addition of this product line enables Miyachi Unitek to offer a broader range of welding solutions, thus providing the most suitable laser source for its customer's particular welding application. As with its current pulsed Nd:YAG systems, Miyachi Unitek offers comprehensive customer support from application development to production for these new fiber laser systems.

Laser Markers
Miyachi Unitek's innovative new LMF Series Yb:Fiber Laser Markers provide maximum marking contrast, depth, and speed for all plastic and metal applications by combining high beam quality, high beam power and the largest Q-switch frequency range (2 – 500kHz) available on the market today! Our Nd:YVO4 laser markers are air cooled and run off a standard 110V line output. Their small footprint and separated power supply and laser provide excellent integration flexibility. The Windows®-based marking software allows for alphanumerics, graphics and codes to be programmed along with serialized part numbers, date codes, and Bar or DataMatrix code data.

Laser Cutting Systems
Miyachi Unitek offers fine cutting systems with precision multi-axis motion and sophisticated software control features. Our proprietary position-based firing laser control algorithm enables precise pulsing overlap to be maintained during multiple linear and rotary axis coordinated motion. The laser source is selected based upon the specific requirements of the applications and materials.

Miyachi Unitek has also developed a unique technique for making high quality precision cuts using laser marker technology. This cost effective process offers both cutting and drilling capabilities in a wide range of materials including metals, silicon and ceramics.

Resistance Welders
Precision resistance welders provide excellent low-energy control for the high reliability welding of miniature and microminiature parts. Linear DC, High Frequency and Capacitive Discharge models available to fit every application and budget. Electronic weld head technology offers stable, repeatable electrode force for a wide variety of welding applications. Both opposed and parallel gap configurations available to provide the flexibility for tight part access.
