Our systems are designed to efficiently heat and form thermoplastics into finished catheters. PIRF generators control temperature to 1°C. Unique mold designs precisely control flow of plastic for increased production yields and process repeatability. Each system can be teamed with a variety of tipping, welding and forming molds.
PIRF II systems are specifically designed to form complex, small profile catheters by concentrating heat in bands that can be less than 1mm. This precise heat placement produces high quality tips with smooth surface finish and strong welds, even with braided materials and/or materials with significant durometer differences. A CE marked version is available, meeting the latest international standards for safety and emissions.

PIRF III, features increased power for multiple part tipping to increase operator efficiency. The system forms large profile catheters, such as tracheal or urinary catheters, quickly and accurately. This system includes temperature monitoring with high/low alarms, front panel programming, and quick release mold and gripping assemblies for easy application changes.
