What We Do

Minnetronix provides high-quality design, engineering and manufacturing services to medical device companies, helping reduce capital costs and increase products' speed to market. We provide customers an experienced, consistent and responsive business partner, treating clients' products as if they were our own.

Minnetronix designs and manufactures a wide variety of Class II and Class III medical products including therapeutic devices, diagnostic instruments, cardiovascular devices, monitoring equipment, and implantable devices. Our development team has significant technical expertise with the design of software and electronics-based products, combined with a solid track record of leading successful commercialization efforts from requirements through regulatory approval and production release.

Minnetronix focuses 100 percent on the medical industry, unlike many other design and manufacturing firms. Because of this focus, Minnetronix has the quality assurance systems in place to meet the requirements and challenges medical device companies face to ensure regulatory compliance. We are an FDA-registered Medical Device Manufacturer, and have successfully undergone three FDA audits since our inception in 1996 (most recently in January 2008). Minnetronix is also ISO 9001-certified, and is one of the first ISO 13485:2003-certified companies in Minnesota. Auditors have described our proprietary systems as a "benchmark in electronic record keeping."

Minnetronix also excels at turnkey contract manufacturing of finished goods, with a focus on high-complexity, low-to-medium volume products. Our teams provide rapid scale-up and product turnaround for a wide and dynamic range of medical products, supplemented by committed engineering, project leadership and product support teams. As part of our continual improvement philosophy, we've recently implemented lean manufacturing practices.

Minnetronix is a medical device design and manufacturing company based in Minnesota, where medical device companies, large and small, are thriving and continue to drive advancements in medical applications. Beginning as a three person start-up, Minnetronix continues its strong growth and increasing success today, currently employing over 125 people and working on over 30 projects for firms worldwide.

Minnetronix employees include engineers, project leaders, technicians, and assemblers working in all phases of product development and manufacturing. With extensive backgrounds in medical device development, our senior engineers are directly involved in medical system designs on an ongoing basis to promote state-of-the-art system architecture design.
