Merit Medical Systems, Inc. and its subsidiaries design, manufacture, and market disposable medical devices primarily used in diagnostic and interventional cardiology and radiology. Merit, a publicly traded company (NASDAQ: MMSI), was founded in 1987 and has its headquarters in South Jordan, Utah. Merit employs 1700 people at its facilities in Utah, Texas, Virginia, Ireland and The Netherlands.

Merit manufactures inflation devices, homeostasis valves, introducer sheaths, waste management systems, diagnostic catheters, drainage catheters, therapeutic infusion catheters, dialysis catheters, guide wires, torque devices, high pressure tubing, transducers, manifolds, stopcocks, fluid administration sets, needles, safety scalpels and other disposable accessories. Merit serves customers through its direct sales representatives, clinical specialists and independent dealer organizations worldwide.

Merit's OEM division sells the finished devices above as well as many stock components such as caps, rotators, connectors, and check relief valves to other device manufacturers. Merit's core competencies are injection and insert molding, medical coatings, pressure sensors, extrusion, and custom and/or private labeled trays and kits.
